Losing weight has lots of positive implications on one's health

On June 3, 2013, My Positive Perspective broadcast an episode centered on the subject of weight loss and the ViSalus challenge. When the host of the episode, Jason Deierlein asked Giles how the challenge worked, Giles replied saying, “Well you are given this powder and simply blend it into a liquid. A person can choose to use soy milk to blend it in, but I choose to use just plain water.” Giles continued saying, “According to the ViSalus challenge, you are supposed to drink two shakes per day. The shakes take the place of breakfast and lunch.”

When Deierlein asked Giles about the taste of the shakes, Giles responded saying, “They have a sweet taste to them; maybe that is the reason why I do not like to mix the shakes into soy milk because soy milk already tastes sweet to me.”

The next thing that Deierlein pointed out was the benefits losing weight has on the confidence and physical well being of a person. Deierlein further explained, “Losing weight helps lower your blood pressure and has lots of other positive implications on that person.” Giles agreed adding, “I can now fit into clothes I thought I never would be able to because I have not worn them in so long. Now that I can my train of thought has become more clear and my physical well being is also much improved.”

My Positive Perspective is a media outlet believing that improvement in our community will be best achieved by focusing on the good things happening in our world today. Having survived a near fatal car accident as a youth, a shift of perception forced one to have a mentality of always concentrating on the brighter sides of things. This was true, and in my book, Return From a Comatose Mind, this belief was put to the test. Appreciation for life was the biggest thing one took away from my brush with death, and it is because of that gives me such a huge desire to be helpful to many. My Positive Perspective is a way of overcoming challenges.
