The Wickford Group, a leading training and consulting company serving law firms and in-house legal departments, has launched its Insights series, a weekly informational circular containing an ongoing conversation with senior in-house counsel. Each edition of Insights features a different corporate counsel, and explores topics such as relationships with outside counsel, challenges faced by in-house counsel, how outside counsel can help address those challenges, and more.
“One feature that our law firm clients find most compelling about our client relationship programs is that they are designed by in-house counsel and provide a unique perspective of the needs and expectations of their clients,” said Rod Boddie, Principal & Senior Advisor of The Wickford Group. “Insights represents yet another step in our efforts to provide law firms with that perspective, and accordingly, a better understanding of the clients that they serve.”
Paul Liebenson, Regional General Counsel, North America for ArcelorMittal kicks off Insights’ maiden edition. In the attached edition, Mr. Liebenson discusses, among other topics, what his expectations are for outside counsel, what outside counsel can do to provide exceptional legal service, and what piece of advice has shaped his view of the role of in-house counsel.
“We’re thrilled to have Paul launch our Insights series,” said Mr. Boddie, “His experience as a partner at a major law firm and as a senior legal officer at a Fortune 100 company gives him an informed and balanced viewpoint of the dynamic between in-house and outside counsel.”
