We have been doing this fundraiser for the past five years, and our employees look forward to this campaign every year.
Carrollton, TX (PRWEB) June 10, 2013
Once again this year, Certified Payment Processing (CPP) will conduct their “Comfy Clothes Campaign,” an annual fundraiser for the American Heart Association. This year, the event has been extended in order to raise more money.
“This is a favorite of our employees,” says Helen Myers, Manager of Human Resources for CPP. “We have been doing this fundraiser for the past five years, and our employees look forward to this campaign every year.”
The company, along with the two sales divisions, TransTech Merchant Group and Summit Merchant Solutions, normally sets aside the months of July and August for the fundraiser. Employees can donate fifty dollars for each month they wish to participate, and will be allowed to dress casually every day, including clothing not normally in the company’s dress code policy, such as shorts, t-shirts and sandals.
“We’re honored to be part of the important work that the American Heart Association does in the community,” says Tony Norrie, Vice President and General Manager of CPP. “Last year, we brought in more than $37,000, an increase of more than $13,000 from the previous year and we saw nearly three-fourths of our staff taking part. We want to break our previous fundraising amounts, so we’ve extended the campaign to encompass the entire summer. We’re beginning in June and we’ll carry it into September.”
CPP is a provider of credit card processing services and also leases point-of-sale terminals that quickly process all forms of payments: debit and credit card transactions, gift cards and checks. The products and services are designed to help businesses increase revenue, control costs, improve efficiency, enhance data security and provide their customers with the most popular payment methods.
From the American Heart Association website: Cardiovascular disease is the nation’s number one killer. The American Heart Association (AHA) invests more than $132 million a year ($3.2 billion since 1949) in heart and stroke research. Since 1924, AHA has been working to improve health in local communities. The Heart Association trains millions of Americans each year in CPR and first aid, and educates healthcare providers every day.
