ClearPoint will provide a certified counselor to deliver these free financial workshops at select Bank of America locations in Everett and Lynnwood this week.

According to the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC) 2013 Financial Literacy Survey, when asked to grade themselves on their knowledge of personal finance, 40 percent of respondents gave themselves a grade of C, D, or F. However, Americans demonstrated a strong desire to improve their level of financial capability, as the survey also revealed that an overwhelming majority (78%) agreed that they would benefit from advice and answers to everyday financial questions from a professional.

NFCC member agency ClearPoint Credit Counseling Solutions (CCCS) has been invited by Bank of America to deliver a series of in-person financial workshops this week in Snohomish County, building upon its online financial education initiative. The nonprofit credit and housing counseling agency will provide a certified counselor to deliver these free 60- to 90-minute sessions at banking centers in Everett and Lynnwood. The hands-on workshops will cover basic money management, including the building blocks of financial success: budgeting and saving.

The first of these free workshops will take place in Lynnwood this Wednesday, June 5th at 6:30 PM. This will be followed by a workshop on the 6th in Everett, also starting at 6:30 PM. Everyone wishing to attend is encouraged to register online at while space is available.

ClearPoint is a member of the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC), a system-wide accredited business with the Council on Better Business Bureaus, and a Housing and Urban Development (HUD)-approved housing counseling agency.
