Vancouver, BC (PRWEB) June 04, 2013
The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation - BC/Yukon Region (CBCF) is proud to award $18,000 in Studentship Grants to three of the most qualified research projects across the province; two projects in breast cancer research and one in ovarian cancer research via Ovarian Cancer Canada.
Funded by both CBCF and the BC Cancer Foundation, the Studentship Grants Program is facilitated through the BC Cancer Agency (BCCA). The BC/Yukon Region of CBCF has partnered with the BC Cancer Foundation since 1993, and is proud to announce the first year of its partnership with Ovarian Cancer Canada in this program.
“We were extremely impressed with the calibre of applicants this year,” said Wendy Slavin, CEO, CBCF - BC/Yukon Region. “These young researchers are part of the promising future of breast cancer research in the province and CBCF is honoured to provide them with an opportunity to explore research that will help to build their careers.”
