The Grommet, an online shopping site and product launch platform for innovative and undiscovered products, is working with Australian entrepreneur to feature Rice Cube, home sushi kit. The Grommet is proud to support this product as it's an innovative problem solver.
Australian patent attorney Ross Patten invented the gadget before his appearance on the cooking show MasterChef. The apparatus is simple yet turns out impressive cubes. It consists of two geometric pieces that, when fitted together, form a void in the center. With some sliding and pushing motions, one can squish rice, fish and other ingredients into the void to create presentation-worthy blocks of sushi.
Sushi is just the beginning of the cubing possibilities, however. Risotto, polenta, potato, cheese, and falafel are all perfect for squishing. For a sweet treat, one can experiment with brownies, fudge, dates or apricots. The bite-sized portions are just right for cocktail parties and potluck dinners, and the novelty of the cube shape is ideal for enticing kids to eat some strategically-cubed veggies.
About The Grommet
The Grommet is a highly curated online marketplace and launch platform for products of great utility, style or inventions that haven’t hit the big-time yet. The Grommet seeks out these unique products, carefully tests them, and produces a video review of each one telling the story behind its creation. The Grommet is rooted in the philosophy of Citizen Commerce whereby regular people form the commerce experience by suggesting products that reflect their values and interests. Citizen Commerce turns the typical top down retailer approach sideways, encourages global product innovation from small producers, and satisfies the consumer’s need to know the stories behind and origins of favorite products. The company was also just named one of the hottest sites of 2013 by Internet Retailer. For more information, visit http://www.TheGrommet.com.
