The mission of Chisholm Trail Arts Council is to provide accessible artistic programs that enhance the quality of life, encourage economic development and educate the people of Stephens County.

For over 37 years Chisholm Trail Arts Council has filled a tremendous cultural need in the Stephens County community through many projects. Arts Explosion, a summer youth arts camp and Artists in Schools are a few of the programs available to the youth of the area.

CTAC also offers the CTAC Live performance series filled with nationally and internationally acclaimed performers, and the 2013-2014 season is no exception. Season highlights include the Walkin’ the Line performing September 14, 2013, a Johnny Cash Tribute band featuring Bennie Wheels and the Tennessee Three will perform during Western Spirit Celebration the third weekend of September. A wonderful family show that children will love to see, Masked Marvels and Wondertales will be on the stage October 10, 2013. Grammy nominee, John Fullbright in concert November 22, 2013 is a performer you cannot miss! He has a true following and is considered one of the best new artists in music today. Perpetual Motion will bring their amazing aerial dance to the stage March 8, 2014. They are a premier modern and aerial dance company that is innovative and aspires to harness the energies of the human imagination. Our last concert of the season is the Grammy nominated Dallas Jazz Orchestra. The 20 piece orchestra is in their 39th season of Jazz, Big Band, Swing and Pop.

Also as part of Chisholm Trail Arts Council’s mission, Masked Marvels, John Fullbright, Perpetual Motion and Dallas Jazz Orchestra will be conducting educational outreach programs for students and adults in Stephens County.

Grants, which cover a percentage of programming fees, are available to the organization, but CTAC relies heavily on local support for these programs to become reality. Membership in CTAC is provided through financial contributions from private citizens and businesses within the community.
