The best thing about the campaign is we have brought in new clients and a lot more work, which was our ultimate goal.
San Antonio, Texas (PRWEB) June 05, 2013
The American Marketing Association – San Antonio has awarded the e.f. group, a San Antonio-based interactive marketing company, with the Campaign of the Year – 2013.
The award was based on the e.f. group’s self-promotional campaign as part of the 2012 Council of Alumni Marketing and Membership Professionals (CAMMP) national conference. Hoping to meet with 16 school alumni associations targeted because of their locations in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas, the e.f. group developed a personalized marketing campaign for each university where that specific school’s mascot (a stuffed animal of the school’s mascot, as it turns out) was “taken hostage”. Many of the e.f. group’s marketing tools – personalized direct mail, personalized QR codes (incorporating school colors), personalized URLs, mobile marketing and video – were used to produce “ransom notes” telling the schools how they could rescue their specific mascot. If they wanted the mascot returned, each of the schools had to visit the e.f. group’s booth at the CAMMP conference.
Nearly 90% of the targeted schools scanned the QR code or logged in with the personalized URL. At the conference, 15 of the 16 targeted alumni marketing contacts stopped by the e.f. group’s booth to rescue the mascot. The one representative that didn’t visit the booth had to leave early. A representative from a rival school quickly claimed the mascot.
“This campaign was a huge success, and it’s such an honor to be recognized for it,” said Jason Ellis of the e.f. group. “The best thing about the campaign is we have brought in new clients and a lot more work, which was our ultimate goal.”
The e.f. group is an interactive marketing company headquartered at 3503 Crosspoint, San Antonio, Texas 78217. It can be reached by calling 210-492-1921 or visiting theefgroup.com.
