MID Retail’s Fourth User Conference Attracts Executives and Senior Management Representing the World’s Most Successful Retail Chains

MID Retail Inc. today announced record attendance at its MID Retail User Conference held this past May at the Alexander Hotel in Indianapolis, IN.

The three-day agenda included case studies and presentations led by retail executives from Abercrombie & Fitch, Bon Ton, Groupe Dynamite, Maurice’s, Men’s Wearhouse, Orvis, Urban Outfitters, and more. Topics included planning, allocation, and forecasting techniques ranging from Virtual Warehousing to fashion replenishment to need-based allocation.

Breakout sessions focused on the latest challenges and opportunities in retail merchandising, allowing retailers to collaborate and innovate among their peers. Multi-channel retail and advanced merchandise forecasting techniques quickly emerged as topics of interest, with participants discussing how to apply today’s MID Retail solutions to tackle challenges, while also suggesting future capabilities that could increase competitive advantage.

The entire MID Retail customer base then debated the value of each idea and voted on the winners. The most valuable enhancement requests are placed into the MID Retail product roadmap for delivery in a subsequent software release.
