Penguin Imprint to Re-release Xlibris’ “The Procrastinator’s Digest” by Timothy A. Pychyl, Ph.D.

Xlibris, a book self-publisher built by authors for authors, and an Author Solutions publishing services provider, announced this week that Xlibris author Timothy A. Pychyl, Ph.D., has had his book, “The Procrastinator’s Digest,” acquired by Tarcher, an imprint of Penguin Group (USA).

“Tarcher/Penguin is excited to sign up one of Author Solutions’ and Xlibris’ success stories and bring it to an even wider audience,” said Joel Fotinos, vice president and publisher, Tarcher/Penguin. “We are always looking for books that inspire people to live their greatest lives, and Dr. Pychyl’s book helps readers do just that by showing them how they can overcome the damaging and pervasive habit of procrastination.”

Tarcher/Penguin finalized the acquisition on May 7 and will re-release the book under the title “Solving the Procrastination Puzzle,” first as an e-Book in July, then in trade paperback in January 2014. Additional research, a new introduction and other changes will be included in the new addition. Tarcher/Penguin, an imprint that publishes books of inspiration and motivation, is a perfect fit for the book, according to Fotinos.

Dr. Pychyl adds, “I’m extremely excited to be working with Tarcher/Penguin to take my book to the next level.”

Xlibris, an Author Solutions publishing services provider, is one of the pioneers of the print-on-demand publishing services industry, and still leads the way today. One of our founding principles, dating back to when we were newly incorporated and making books out of a basement office, is that authors should have control over their work. This principle still stands today as we help hundreds of authors every month publish their work in the manner and form that they envision.

Xlibris has been publishing books for more than a decade. Now with over 40,000 titles in print for over 35,000 authors, you can count on Xlibris' extensive experience to provide dependable, long-term, individualized support through the publishing process and in the years that follow.
