New York, New York (PRWEB) June 06, 2013
Zamansky & Associates LLC (“Zamansky”) announces that it is investigating financial advisor Peter Girgis (“Girgis”), and his current and former brokerage firms, Brookstone Securities and Joseph Gunnar& Co. Inc., on behalf of customers for possible sales practices violations. According to his BrokerCheck report with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), Girgis has had several customer complaints alleging sales practice violations. Additionally, according to his BrokerCheck report, on April 24, 2013, FINRA suspended him for three months from association with any broker-dealer, and fined him $5,000, for failing to report information on his Form U-4 registration form. The case is FINRA Disciplinary Proceeding No. 2011-0299196-02.
According to Jake Zamansky, “any brokerage customer who had a brokerage account at that was handled by Peter Girgis at Brookstone or Joseph Gunnar should have their account reviewed by an experienced professional.” Zamansky states that typical sales practice violations can take the form of excessive trading or over-trading of an account, over-leveraging or using too much margin, or investing in unsuitable securities that usually have too much risk for the investor.
