Barcelona, Spain (PRWEB) June 10, 2013
White Bull Summits (http://www.whitebull.com), ‘Champions of European Innovation,’ today announced the official call for submissions for the 2013 Bully Awards, honoring Europe’s leading privately held technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) companies. Applications for the 2013 Bully Awards will be accepted through August 1, 2013. Thirty winners will be announced on October 9, 2013 at the 4th Annual Pathways Summit in Barcelona.
Pathways 2013 will be held October 7-9, 2013 in Barcelona. The invite-only summit, now in its 4th year, has become the premier “sandbox” for European Innovation, an intense 3-day event featuring some of the Tech Industry’s brightest stars. The decision makers of select European Tech firms at all stages of growth, and top members of the Global Investment and Corporate Development Community will meet to explore the European Innovation Landscape from Foundation to Exit. (Google, Qualcomm Ventures, Nokia, Ericsson, SAP, Morgan Stanley, Intel Capital, Pearson and Bird & Bird are just a few names on the agenda). This year’s program will center on the Global Entrepreneur, featuring Global Success stories coming out of Europe – the Entrepreneurs and Investors that have made it all happen – along with the annual BullPen day-long startup workshop, interactive sessions, presentations and keynotes. “Pathways 2013” will give attendees valuable insight into innovative trends in the European TMT sector, and business and financial strategies from startup to exit phase.
“What separates this event from the sea of others out there,” says Farley Duvall, CEO and co-founder of White Bull Summits, “is the intensity, the intimacy … and the emphasis on building lasting relationships at every stage. This is not about an exchange of business cards. It’s about getting to know the people making things happen. It’s personal. And, we know from experience that this is what makes all the difference.”
White Bull has a proven track record of picking Bully Award finalists and winners that have have gone on to achieve greater success - from Funding to Exit, (including BuyVIP, Q-go, Amiando, WatchMouse, Taulia, Usabilla, Qubulous , Aframe, Maporama, Wrapp, Klarna, and many more). Read recent news from past winners and finalists here.
The 2013 Bully Awards will honor 30 TMT firms as winners in three categories:
- Yearlings: firms that seek or have received angel/seed rounds or equivalent; classic startups
- Young Bulls: firms that seek or have received Series A financing; early stage companies
- Longhorns: post Series A firms; growth stage companies
The Bully Award applicants will be carefully reviewed and selected by White Bull's panel of industry experts based on the following criteria:
- Market Opportunity: How large is the opportunity? Is the 'problem' compelling enough to build a substantial business?
- Competitive Landscape: Does the business have key sustainable competitive advantages over the existing and future competition?
- Business Models and Revenues: Does the business model, existing revenues and growth forecasts present a compelling story?
- Execution: Strength of milestones reached, customer base and progress?
- Management Team: Is the existing management team and structure in place sufficient to drive the company forward?
- Sector Activity: How competitive is the sector, and what is the strength of the exit market in the industry?
“We are not looking to compile a Top 30 List,” said Duvall. “Our panel will award those firms that have demonstrated excellence, the spirit to face challenges, and the will to move and grow with the times.”
Sixty finalists will be invited to present at Pathways 2013, to an audience of potential partners and deal makers. The 30 winners will be announced on the final night of Pathways 2013.
