The “Garden City of the South” is about to get a little greener. Augusta, Georgia residents will be the latest city to join hundreds of thousands of other customers through the popular incentive program, Recycling Perks, which rewards curbside recyclers with points that accumulate at each collection and can be redeemed for coupons at a wide variety of local restaurants and retailers.

Beginning June 1st, Augusta residents can sign up and access their free Recycling Perks account to start collecting points each time they recycle, and then use those points to claim rewards. The partnership between the City of Augusta and Recycling Perks is designed as a way to say, “Thank you” for recycling and to encourage residents to support recycling and local businesses. “Augusta is eager to get our new recycling rewards program launched and we are proud to offer this enhanced program to our citizens.” stated Deke Copenhaver, Mayor of Augusta.

“Our Recycling Perks program is designed to raise awareness, promote the benefits of recycling and encourage residents to support local businesses in the City of Augusta,” said Recycling Perks President, Bill Dempsey. “We are pleased to partner with the City of Augusta as we work together to encourage recycling and support local businesses.
