Let me raise money to help YOU!
Washington, DC (PRWEB) June 07, 2013
The Sergeant Sullivan Center announces today that a new Scruffy the Wonder Dog website will provide helpful tips and suggestions to grassroots fundraisers for improved post-deployment health across the nation at http://www.scruffyhelps.com.
On the website, Scruffy the Wonder Dog's motto, an expression of gratitude for humanity's efforts to raise funds on behalf of dogs, is, "Let me raise money to help YOU!"
Money raised with inspiration from the Scruffy website will be used to fund research to develop new methods of diagnosing and treating post-deployment illnesses that impact over a half a million veterans, expand public awareness of this issue, and provide education to healthcare providers.
Scruffy the Wonder Dog online fundraising assistant is an inspirational and educational web-based platform committed to helping humanity help itself. The site is named for a dog who belonged to Sergeant Tom Sullivan, a Marine who served in the Iraq War in 2004, and died four years after returning home from undiagnosed post-deployment illness.
The Sergeant Thomas Joseph Sullivan Center is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization founded by Tom's family and dedicated to improving health outcomes for current and former military personnel, especially those who are suffering from emerging, complicated, or currently unexplained post deployment health concerns, through awareness, research, and connection.
