“The free to play publishing model is unsustainable for the vast majority of social and mobile games. Playnomics has designed an audience management tool to fully realize and optimize every player’s value," said Jay Cohen, CRO of Playnomics.
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) June 07, 2013
Playnomics, the global leader in predictive marketing and data science for games, today announced that Jay Cohen has joined the company as Chief Revenue Officer. Cohen is a 17-year veteran in the interactive entertainment industry, most recently appointed to President of Development at Jerry Bruckheimer Games in 2009. A firm supporter in advancing and promoting the awareness of the artistry and talent within the interactive industry, Cohen will continue to hold his position as the Chairman of the Board for the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences.
“Playnomics is a fast-growth company in a rapidly changing industry, and Jay brings a wealth of relevant industry experience to our mission of leading the future of game marketing and publishing,” said Chethan Ramachandran, CEO of Playnomics.
“The free to play publishing model is unsustainable for the vast majority of social and mobile games. Playnomics has designed an audience management tool to fully realize and optimize every player’s value by acknowledging that all players are not equal based on their behavior,” said Jay Cohen, CRO of Playnomics. “PlayRM™ is able to identify meaningful player segments, predict future value for these cohorts, and then target these groups with individualized messaging campaigns in a simple drag and drop interface. I look forward to working with the Playnomics team and deploying this one-of-a-kind platform, so game developers and publishers everywhere can enjoy profitable economics to continue to bring us the games we love to play.”
Prior to Jerry Bruckheimer Games, Cohen spent over 13 years with Ubisoft Entertainment as the Senior Vice President of Publishing. During his tenure, Cohen and his team successfully engineered and executed the launches of blockbuster franchises such as Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon, Prince of Persia, Rayman and Assassin's Creed. Cohen has also been an active advisory board member for Playnomics since 2010.
