Jina Park, CEO and Founder of PLUSH has announced a new era in the juvenile industry with the formation of Juvenile Retail Alliance (JRA), a vast network of independent stores and independent manufacturers created from the transition of Baby Furniture Plus Association (BFPA) and the leadership of Executive Director, Beth A. Jarabek. It was announced today at the Welcome Breakfast opening PLUSH 2013's Show, a luxury baby and toddler trade and consumer show, at the Hyatt Regency Century City, June 7th, 2013.
“I am so proud that we are coming together as a united front to make sweeping changes in our industry for a better future,” said Jina Park, CEO and Founder of PLUSH. “JRA will offer a healthy and transparent channel for our entire juvenile sector; existing to inspire, support, and advance the best interest of the juvenile retail industry.”
Juvenile Retail Alliance operates under the same vision that is driven by the defining goal of building a stronger future together. JRA will also unite with business affiliates to offer fundamental programs, educational opportunities, networking, advocacy, and communication to assist its members.
“I am pleased and honored to announce that BFPA will transition to become Juvenile Retail Alliance by 2014,” said Beth A. Jarabek, Executive Director. “This new alliance has been formed to become the center for leadership in our industry. With 26 years of industry experience behind us, we bring history and loyal partnerships with us. With our newly formed relationship with PLUSH, Jina Park and her team of research professionals, offer an avenue of new ideas and advanced marketing connections that will empower our industry to new heights.”
JRA will also champion a give-back program to local communities that will develop JRA Housing to assist expectant mothers in need of temporary residency. They are the only juvenile organization that is dedicated to providing knowledge, resources, education, professional development, programs and a community for networking to the entire juvenile industry. PLUSH is a baby and toddler trade show dedicated to all the posh and eco-conscious retailers and parents who are continually setting the next big trend. Unlike other juvenile shows in the industry, PLUSH sets itself apart by being one step ahead, and selecting vendors that are worth the time and consideration. Jina Park uses endless research on what today's modern parents are seeking and finds the best, most innovative, eco-friendly, and luxurious products on the market, and places them all in one location for retailers, consumers, and media. PLUSH adds the incredible dimension of entertainment and mainstream media coverage and A-list celebrity marketing opportunities to a juveniles industry show. PLUSH 2012 had The Honest Company's Jessica Alba as their title sponsor, and previous celebrity hosts from 2011-2012 included Catt Sadler, Jason Kennedy, and John Salley.
The 2013 PLUSH Show expanded with B2B scheduled June 7th-8th, 2013 and the consumer show on June 9th, 2013 hosted by Lisa Rinna and Jason Kennedy at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza, Los Angeles, CA. Tickets available now for consumer show. For more information: plushshow.com.
