Web Spiders today announced it was re-certified and awarded with the ISO 9001:2008 certification for “Design and Development of Software for Web and Mobile Platforms.”
Web Spiders was earlier compliant to the previous ISO 2000 version. The certification recognizes Web Spiders' Quality Management System by which it:
- has demonstrated its ability to consistently develop and provide products and services which meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and
- enhances customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement while conforming to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
DNV Business Assurance, the certifying agency, is a Norway-based auditing, inspecting and evaluating foundation for managing risk in oil, gas and energy, food and beverage, healthcare, IT and software products.
Marking the occasion, Web Spiders' CEO, Siddharth ‘Sid’ Jhunjhunwala, remarked, “ISO 9001 is a great business process model. We have always been delighted to align ourselves both in letter and spirit. This time our process maturity was even higher with a full tools based process automation and inclusion of mobile development in the scope of certification. Many thanks to the delivery team.”
