It is a shame that people are unable to keep their homes unlocked in this day and age but unfortunately times have changed and in my professional opinion home security is the most effective way to cut down crime and therefore insurance premiums

According to recent The Telegraph report by Hayley Dixon dated 05 June 2013: Police to tell insurers when burgled homes are left unlocked, as the police in Tameside are trying to make burglary victims more responsible for their property . It is current policy for insurance companies to take a crime reference from their clients but it is not standard practice to check the crime details with the police. In cases of insecurity crimes the police plan to inform insurance companies of the details involved in the case before a final decision is taken on whether or not to pay out. Chief Insp from Tamside police, Steve McFarlane said: "It's quite rare that they ring us. Usually the crime reference number is evidence that a crime has occurred and it's taken on face value."
Glasgow Private Detectives offer home security services and information to advise and assist people on how to make their property safe and secure. Investigators find that many older people leave their homes unlocked as this was common practice when they were younger and it was quite safe to do so. Unfortunately this is no longer the case, for example Tameside police investigated an average of nine insecurity burglaries every week in the last three years. With these high statistics that have been gathered by Tameside police it makes sense to inform people of the need to secure and lock their homes.
There are many different devices and methods of home security available and Glasgow Private Detectives are experts in installations of CCTV systems, hidden cameras, motion sensors and door and window locks to name but a few of their services. Helping people to make and keep their homes secure can have many positive effects such as lowering insurance premiums in the area and preventing a trusting family from becoming victims of crime.
