Columbus, Ohio based startup accelerator 10xelerator (10x) is now accepting applications from entrepreneurs and teams for its Fall 2013 class.
Applications are due by July 14th and up to 10 teams will be announced early August.
10x is a mentor-driven accelerator focused on converting promising entrepreneurial ideas into viable businesses and, ultimately, sustainable companies. Teams accepted into the program will receive $20,000 in seed capital. Additionally, teams will have access to customer and market development sessions with subject matter experts, workshops, networking events and access to over 50 mentors each ready to advise, coach and lead companies through the acceleration program all in exchange for a predetermined equity stake in their business. Teams will also have access to office space and facilities provided by TechColumbus.
The 10x program starts September 4th and runs for 10 weeks in Columbus for high caliber entrepreneurs and teams who have disruptive, market-validated solutions that impact one of four core business sectors:
- Big Data and Analytics
- Educational Technology
- Cyber Security
- Logistics Technology
At the end of the ten-week program, each team will present to local and regional investors and executives for follow-on funding opportunities.
10x was founded under the direction of The Ohio State University's Center for Technology Entrepreneurship in 2011, and the leadership of Dr. Michael Camp. The program is now transitioning to a community endeavor under the leadership of Founders Factory, one of the region's top early-stage venture development and financing firms.
Twenty-seven startups have already benefitted from the 10x program and have collectively raised more than $9.4 million in follow-on funding from investors from around the country.

During a competitive process, 10x evaluates applications across several factors including founding team, idea, potential market size, and financial viability.
