Seven out of ten city and finance businesses are set to invest in IP surveillance technology in the next year, according to a new study by the Security Technology Experience – reports Security News Desk in a June 6 article.
A focus group of international banking and finance businesses found that 70% had an intention to invest in IP surveillance technology over the next year, with changing security threats being the key driver behind the investment.
55% of the participants hinted at the likelihood of investing in HD IP Cameras in the next 12 months, to benefit from qualities such as motion detection, object tracking and behaviour recognition.
A spokesperson from AlertSystems said:
“IP CCTV Systems are becoming increasingly essential for businesses and with its advanced technology, these benefits are particularly appealing to the banking and finance sector. So it’s understandable that the majority of those questioned in this research are looking to invest in HD surveillance within the next year.”
