As Maryland continues to add STEM jobs, UMBC is expanding its program offerings at the Universities at Shady Grove to meet the growing need for trained biotechnology professionals, particularly in Montgomery County.
Starting in Fall 2013, UMBC is offering its Master of Professional Studies (MPS) Biotechnology program at the Universities at Shady Grove in Rockville. The biotechnology program, ideal for individuals interested in pursuing biotechnology management or regulatory affairs career opportunities, combines courses in the life sciences, along with courses in regulatory affairs, leadership, management and financial management in a life-science oriented business.
The UMBC Biotechnology Master’s Program is hosting a Virtual Info Session on June 26, from 12-1 p.m. Registration for the session can be completed through an online form.
During the session, Biotechnology Graduate Program Director Dr. Rick Wolf and Associate Graduate Program Director Dr. Sheldon Broedel will discuss the program’s curriculum and schedules, as well as provide insight on how a Biotechnology Master of Professional Studies can help accelerate students’ careers in the field.
