American INSIGHT is please to announce that "Crossroads: Labor Pains of a New Worldview" won the 2013 Free Speech Award in Philadelphia last month. Directed by Joseph Ohayon, this deeply-researched, thought-provoking film is available online for free at http://crossroadsfilm.com.

"Crossroads" focuses on the need for an increasingly interdependent world view. Covered by reporters from New Tang Dynasty TV in New York, news of American INSIGHT's 2013 Free Speech Award reached over 70 cities and 200 million people worldwide.

American INSIGHT's Free Speech Award Ceremony and its winning film were featured in The Wall Street Journal online on June 4, 2013. Ohayon was quoted as saying, "A fundamental change of values, an integrated way of thinking, is critically needed and is looming across the board. That, I believe, is the crossroads of our time."

Preceding Mr. Oyhayon's remarks on stage in Philadelphia's historic Union League were Richard Negrin (Managing Director of the City of Philadelphia); Abby Huntsman (HuffPostLive, MSNBC, CNN, ABC News); Mary Anne Huntsman (concert pianist); Gregory Harvey, Esq. (lawyer and First Amendment scholar); Tanya Steinberg (President & CEO, International House of Philadelphia); and Kean Wong (producer of American INSIGHT's 2012 Free Speech Award Winning film).

Free Speech Award Ceremony Moderators for the evening were: Karen Curry (Executive Director, Drexel University’s Kal and Lucille Rudman Institute, former NBC News and CNN Bureau Chief); and Bob Craig (Host of Big Band Jazz + Voices of Jazz on WRTI Radio). Poet Gweny Love was Master of Ceremonies for the evening.

American INSIGHT's Free Speech Award is given annually to one of the six “Official Selection” films that have been selected from films submitted to the Free Speech Film Festival from around the world. The final Free Speech Award-winning film is added to American INSIGHT's interactive online Free Speech Storyline which traces the history of Free Speech back to the invention of the printing press.
