Kohl’s Completes Initial Implementation of the Qubell Adaptive PaaS, which Helps Speed Delivery of Its Ecommerce Features and Services

Qubell, an innovator in application deployment and management, today announced that Kohl’s Department Stores, a specialty department store with 1,155 stores in 49 U.S. states, has completed a successful initial implementation of the Qubell Adaptive PaaS (platform-as-a-service) as a component of its current omnichannel technology initiatives. Kohl’s selected the Qubell Adaptive PaaS to provide continuous application deployment, continuous testing and environment management as a part of a continuous integration (CI) process for its new omnichannel initiatives. Kohl’s goals and reasons for selecting Qubell included the platform’s ability to:

  •     Speed time to market with new, omnichannel (e.g., web, mobile, in-store) features.
  •     Integrate with any technology stack chosen by Kohl’s.
  •     Adapt quickly to technology changes in the application or infrastructure.
  •     Provide application developers with fast feedback during the development process.

Kohl’s implementation has already proven key capabilities of the Qubell Adaptive PaaS. Qubell’s platform is enabling Kohl’s to automate the front end of its development process: from creation of code for new features – or incremental changes to code – through continuous integration and testing. Now, new builds and code drops can be integrated and tested in hours.
