“The team efforts of Arena Sports, Sammamish Club, GGO, and our energetic volunteers make this a fun day for our community, and we are making an important contribution to the emotional health of kids dealing with grief and loss.”
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) June 11, 2013
Seattle eDiscovery service provider GGO LLC, announced today that the company will sponsor a day of fitness events “Aerobathon” event on June 29th at the Sammamish Club in Issaquah Washington. The event marks the culmination of a month-long series of fitness fund-raising activity to support local nonprofit organization Art with Heart.
Art with Heart helps kids deal with stress and adversity through expressive, therapeutic books and the power of creativity. Art with Heart has helped over 70,000 young people at times of crisis or loss due to illness, loss of a family member, natural disasters, or other tragedy. Proceeds from the Sammamish Club events will fund completion of a new Art with Heart book called “Draw It Out”, new Art with Heart book specifically targeted to elementary aged kids who are facing grief and loss in their young lives.
“The Aerobathon day is an awesome event for families, kids and athletes in our community,” said Gary Helling, director of operations at Art with Heart. “The funds raised through community support of the events at Sammamish Club allow Art with Heart to continue our mission to help more children. The new “Draw It Out” books and programming will be made available to the Newtown Community, where Art with Heart is already helping.”
A series of fitness fund-raising events is planned through the month of June. On June 22nd, Arena Sports will hold a ‘Soccer Friendly’ match for players 16 and older at the Sammamish Club.
