Arnold, MD, MS, MBA, CPE, FHIMSS, will speak at the upcoming 11th Annual Orthopedic, Spine & Pain Management-Driven ASC Conference taking place June 13-15 at the Westin Michigan Avenue in Chicago, Illinois.
On June 13, Dr. Arnold will participate in a panel discussion on the topic of "Emerging Business Issues in Spine Surgery." The panel also includes Stefan Prada, MD, orthopedic spine surgeon with Laser Spine Institute, and Christopher Duntsch, MD, PhD, clinical director and neurosurgeon with Texas Neurosurgical Institute. The panel will be moderated by Scott Becker, JD, CPA, partner with McGuireWoods LLP. The panel discussion is scheduled to begin at 2:40 CT. Topics to be discussed by the panel members include:
- Challenges associated with spine implants
- What spine practices need to do stay independent
- Whether spine surgeons should own ASCs
- How the business of spine has changed in the last few years
