Michigan Retailers Association (MRA) has named business professional and local resident Katie Jensen as its key contact for businesses in Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula.

Michigan Retailers Association (MRA) has named business professional and local resident Katie Jensen as its key contact for businesses in Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula.

Jensen, of Harbor Springs, began her new position as MRA Business Development Representative for Northern Michigan and the U.P. on June 3.

She previously was Northern Michigan and U.P. district manager for workforce solutions company Kelly Services, Inc.

“Katie Jensen brings more than 20 years of successful sales, account management, and business development and retention experience to her new capacity with Michigan Retailers,” said James P. Hallan, MRA president and CEO.

“It’s also important to note that she has lived and worked in Northern Michigan for nearly 15 years, so she fully understands the unique characteristics and needs of businesses in her territory.”

Her territory includes all of the U.P. plus the northern counties of Alcona, Alpena, Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Crawford, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Iosco, Kalkaska, Leelanau, Manistee, Missaukee, Montmorency, Ogemaw, Oscoda, Otsego, Presque Isle, Roscommon and Wexford.
