Cost and power efficient with fast and consistent performance.

Silicon Mechanics, Inc. announces that it now offers the Intel® SSD Data Center S3500 Series, a high-performance 6 Gb/s SATA SSD with enterprise features, including fast and consistent performance, stress-free data protection, and a broad range of capacities. The DC S3500 is also ideal for big data (Apache™ Hadoop®), virtualization, email, web server, CDN, and cache accelerator applications.

The new DC S3500 Series takes the best features of Intel’s 520 Series and 320 Series and puts them together in one affordable product. With impressive 72,000/10,000 read/write IOPS performance and stress-free protection features which include end-to-end data protection, power loss protection, 256-bit AES encryption, and ECC protected memory, the DC S3500 Series is an excellent choice for read-intensive, data center applications.

The DC S3500 is extremely cost and power efficient, with 20nm NAND technology, 5.0W typical operational power, and 0.65W standby making it ideal for power-conscious environments. Available in 2.5-inch versions ranging from 80 to 800 GB, the DC S3500 now has a much higher capacity in the same space.
