“Our active duty military face dangers every day,” said Roy L. Gibson, President, MBA and Senior Master Sergeant, U.S. Air Force, Retired. “The last thing these brave men and women should be worried about is life insurance."

Today the Military Benefit Association (MBA), a nonprofit that helps to advance and safeguard the economic interests and financial welfare of military personnel, launched its low premium Term 90 Plus Life Insurance for active duty military personnel.

“Our active duty military face dangers every day,” said Roy L. Gibson, President, MBA and Senior Master Sergeant, U.S. Air Force, Retired. “The last thing these brave men and women should be worried about is life insurance. By providing this new offer, we can give our military the peace of mind to continue the important job of securing our nation.”

Term 90 Plus, which starts at just $2.50 per month, is an exceptionally great value for life insurance. The Department of Defense’s SGLI and VGLI coverage have limits to policy amounts and military personnel are understandably looking for more.

“We recognize that SGLI and VGLI insurance may not be not enough,” continued Gibson. “Our nation’s military deserve more. We want to ensure our military personnel, who put their lives on the line for our country, that they are being looked after.”

The new Term 90 Plus insurance can supplement SGLI and is also portable so military personnel can continue coverage at special rates after they leave the service.

For those personnel already retired, they can get low-cost coverage in addition to or in place of VGLI or opt for MBA instead, because it offers higher coverage amounts at rates lower than VGLI.

Other benefits of Term 90 Plus include:

  •     Starts at just $2.50 a month per $50,000 in coverage;
  •     Coverage up to $1,000,000 — more than twice SGLI or VGLI;
  •     Special rates that continue after personnel leave the service;
  •     No war or aviation clauses;
  •     Additional coverage for spouses and children.

About MBA

The Military Benefit Association (MBA) was formed in 1956 by active-duty and retired military members.
