AdvantaIRA Volunteers at the Ronald McDonald house

AdvantaIRA Fort Myers location volunteered their time to the Ronald McDonald House. Every month the local IRA firm likes to give back to the community by volunteering at various charities.

Twice in April the AdvantaIRA team chose to visit the Ronald McDonald house in Fort Myers, which serves as a home-away-from-home for families of seriously ill children undergoing medical treatment. The house allows families to remain together while providing an environment of comfort, compassion, strength, and support.

AdvantaIRA wanted to help make the children at the Ronald McDonald house feel even more at home by providing home-cooked meals for them and their families. The Advanta staff split up and visited the house on two separate occasions, providing two different meals for the families. The Ronald McDonald house opened up their huge kitchen, so the Advanta staff could prepare freshly-made meals on location. The first group made home-made baked ziti, while the second group made home-style chili macaroni. Both dinners included salad, garlic bread, and ended with fresh-baked cookies for dessert. Overall both meals were an astounding success.
