“I noticed an empty restaurant and my childhood memories of traditional cooking in my family kitchen in Mexico inspired me to bring those customs here,” says Reyes.

Entrepreneur Enice Reyes didn’t plan on starting up her own business. A schoolteacher who grew up in Mexico, Reyes says the new venture opportunity just fell into her lap and the entrepreneurial spirit came alive. “I noticed an empty restaurant and my childhood memories of traditional cooking in my family kitchen in Mexico inspired me to bring those customs here,” says Reyes, who moved to the United States from Mexico at age seven. Now, she combines those traditional Mexican roots with conventional American food to offer Mexican-American cuisine to the Logan Square community.
“We are preparing dishes that are simple, yet very authentic, just how my grandmother used to make it.” Garden Grill’s head cook, Gerardo Noriega, brings 25 years of chef experience to the restaurant and a passion for cooking original dishes from scratch.
Enice Reyes is the owner of The Garden Grill restaurant located in Chicago’s progressive Logan Square neighborhood. On June 20th, Reyes is welcoming the community to join its grand opening celebration. So far, customers have responded enthusiastically to the food offering of savory Mexican cuisine and traditional American fare like hamburgers, wraps and breakfast dishes. The Garden Grill is located at 3129 W. Armitage Avenue in Chicago and is open seven days a week from 7am to 11pm. For more information, call the restaurant at 773-360-8363.
