NetCom Learning announces that Franco Henriquez is the winner of the March 2013 Sarder Scholarship. Sarder Scholarships are awarded on a monthly basis to qualified applicants looking to pursue their career in information technology. Each month, NetCom Learning awards $2500 which can be used toward live online classes or any regular classroom course at NetCom Learning. The scholarship is named after the company’s co-founder, Russell Sarder, who is committed to encouraging lifelong learning.
“Sarder Scholarships are for deserving individuals who really want to learn and become proficient in information technology,” said Russell Sarder, CEO of NetCom Learning. “Franco Henriquez epitomizes the kind of self starter individual who loves to learn and who will benefit the most from the Scholarship,” said Sarder.
Franco Henriquez, the winner of the Sarder Scholarship in March 2013, has been interested in computers and information technology since the age of nine. Henriquez is passionate about computers and learning and by age fifteen was hiring himself out to friends to do computer repairs. Saving up his money to buy computer books, he studied and won third place in the Computer Systems Technology competition Skills USA at the state level when he was in his junior year of high school. Currently, Frank has his A+ and Network+ certifications and he would like to further his passion for information technology by learning more about programming, and network engineering. He intends to share his knowledge with an eleven year old protégé that shares his interest in computers and technology.
