Company Leverages Early Successes of Logi Info’s Embedded Analytics, Extends Solution to Other Departments

Logi Analytics, the authority on embedded analytics, today announced that SnugZ USA, which provides suppliers and distributors in the promotional products industry with lanyards, glasses cases and other accessories, used Logi Info to embed data visualizations into its existing systems, improving its manufacturing operations and saving the company time and resources.

In order to derive crucial insights related to their manufacturing processes, SnugZ USA, which has more than 250 employees, was trying to build dashboards inside its SharePoint system using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), but found it very difficult to do. Additionally, business decisions were being delayed by employees needing to switch between multiple applications in order to obtain accounting data and other information on the fly.

“We evaluated numerous BI solution providers, but some had functionality we just didn’t need, and most had prices that were astronomical,” said Patrick Elliott, information technology manager, SnugZ USA. “We found Logi Info’s interface to be very intuitive, making it easy for us to write reports; we were able to build new dashboards with Logi Info within a couple hours of having the software, and the cost of the solution aligned best with our lean BI needs.”

Using Logi Info, SnugZ USA was able to quickly put numerous charts and gauges on their SharePoint server, and report on accounting and manufacturing data from their Microsoft Dynamics GP and CRM systems. Now, SnugZ USA is reporting on their manufacturing tables and showing how many line items are scheduled to ship each day and where they are in production. Other data visualizations include the total quantity of items shipping, a calendar with their upcoming manufacturing pipeline, and a bullet bar showing pieces remaining to be shipped.

They are also displaying a variety of accounting data such as income statements, cash balances, receivables vs. payables, and sales gauges showing daily sales, as well as monthly sales against goals. SnugZ is also using Logi Info to create tables for their HR department to track employee data, and they plan to install LCD screens to display their new gauges on the shop floor.

This year, Logi Analytics was moved to the “challengers” quadrant of the 2013 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence and Analytics Platforms report in only its third year in the research.
