A' Design Award and Competition is happy to share that the design Curve by Kris Lin has won the famous Platinum A' Design Award in the Interior Space and Exhibition Design Category, selected as the winner by the international arbiters of the A' Design Award & Competition among a great number of works.
The overall design concept is based on the curve shape as one of the main axis of the design. The design of the interior is applied into the arc walls and the lighting belt in the ceilings. A large U-type space is formed by the chairs and backrest in some part of the dining hall, which not only create a form, but also define the space of the dining hall. In order to clearly demonstrate the curve shape, the materials applied are very simple and concise since pure color such as simple white is mostly used for defining a shape of interior.

The Platinum A' Design Award
The Platinum A' Design Award is a prestigious award given to the top 1% percentile designs that have achieved an exemplary level of perfection in design. The designs are judged by an international jury composed of Academic, Professional and Focus Group Members. The designs are evaluated with score normalization to remove any biases and are voted on aspects such as functionality, ergonomics, engineering, presentation, innovation, usability, fun details, technology, and any other specific points that could be considered. Each of these points are further weighted for different jury groups.
