Social Network users will have a chance to enter their own recipe and name a new pastry.

As one of the more fun pie manufacturers in the industry, RMP has once again proven their desire to share a passion for creating high quality pastries. This new, innovative contest will help aspiring bakers to achieve notoriety by working with one of the best known dessert suppliers in the industry. Unlike their line of traditional fruit pies, these newly crafted flavors are the brainchild of the company’s team of food experts. With their rich history of over 20 years experience in the baking industry, RMP has been able to establish some never-before-seen pastries. This means new flavors like: Caramel Apple, Red White and Blue, and Four Seasons; all of which are innovative in their own right.
When does the fun begin?
This new social media campaign is running throughout the summer of 2013, and will feature Tom Jackson, the company’s Director of Food Science and Safety. In their time as pie manufacturers, RMP has always had a philosophy of ‘keeping it lighthearted,’ and this new contest should be an engaging example of their desire to interact with the public. This will also benefit them as dessert suppliers in the area of research and development; as the results will show preferences such as desire for fruit pies versus pumpkin or apple creations.
The contest judge is an expert in food sciences.
Social media users will have a unique opportunity to work with an experienced food scientist, who will be judging the contest. This is exciting, as rarely do pie manufacturers allow such interactions with other bakers and their food science experts. The company is looking forward to showing the public why they are among the best dessert suppliers in the country, and hoping to inspire the creativity of those who enjoy family gatherings, and wholesome pastries. “It will be interesting to see what people come up with in the areas of fruit pies, meringues, pumpkin, and other flavors,” said Mark ‘Par’ Grandinetti, President of Rocky Mountain Pies, “I’m sure they will be shocked to learn how difficult it is to get the right ingredients and taste, while producing something completely original.” The contest will allow entries through the summer of 2013, and a winner will be announced in a press release after the top entries have been carefully evaluated. When the winner is selected, they will get to choose a name for their new pastry, working in conjunction with the marketing department at RMP.
