Pinery at the Hill Partners with Kids in Need of Dentistry (KIND)

Mitchell Yellen and his wife Windsor announced today The Yellen Companies are joining forces with Kids in Need of Dentistry (KIND) in providing oral hygiene for underserved children in need of a dentist. Their new The Pinery At The Hill will host KIND's fundraising event on Thursday, 10 October 2013.

“We must take care of our children,” said Windsor Yellen. “That begins with our children’s teeth. Not every child has access to affordable dental care. We want to change that.”

KIND provides high-quality dental care to thousands of children in Colorado, helping families in need to secure dental services at a cost the family can afford.

Says KIND’s Jeannie McNeill, “Each child’s unique medical needs are important to us. Oral hygiene is not only critical to a child’s health but also to their self-esteem. The Yellen’s gift of their magnificent conference center and dinner for our donors will make a difference to children all over Colorado.”

Yellen’s new conference facility, The Pinery at the Hill, is slated to open in September, 2013.

“This is why we built such a beautiful facility,” says Mitchell Yellen. “We wanted to give back to the Colorado Springs community, to take care of our children and encourage others how important it is to provide for those less fortunate.”

The KIND Wine Tasting, “A Celebration of Children”, is in its tenth year with 100% of the proceeds going towards the KIND clinic and services such as financial support to uninsured low income families, equipment and supplies.

In 1912, a group of Denver Dentists recognized a need for affordable dental services among children of low-income miners and railroad workers and decided to form a non-profit organization aimed at addressing that need. Through KIND’s programs, staff and faithful volunteers and supporters provide quality, comprehensive dental care to children from uninsured families with marginal incomes.

Mitch Yellen and his wife Windsor own several companies in the Colorado Springs area, including The Pinery at the Hill and Wealthwonks. The Yellens use their companies to make a difference in the lives of people less fortunate around the world.
