Business Coach Releases 2nd Edition Business Plan for Financial Advisors

Scottsdale-based Business Coach, Suzanne Muusers, has noticed a growing trend over the past few years among her financial advisor client base – a distinct resistance to completing a traditional Business Plan. Even more, she noticed that many of these advisors were attempting to grow their practice without any plan at all.

After nine years of research and revision, Arizona-based Financial Advisor Coach Suzanne Muusers, CEO of Prosperity Coaching LLC has released an updated edition of her Business Plan Program: The Two Page Mini Business Plan for Financial Advisors – 2nd Edition.

“Most financial planners don't adequately plan for the financial success of their practice despite advising their own clients to work with them to build a financial plan. Not only that, many advisors are lone rangers operating on their own without mentors or coaches to help them get a handle on their strategic business direction" Muusers says.

Because the traditional Financial Advisor Business Plan is over thirty pages, Muusers had an "Aha-moment" when she decided to simplify the document by pulling out the most important parts of a successful plan. She was able to whittle the document down to two pages. This helps advisors take focused action and implementation in a time saving manner.

In the past nine years, Muusers gained valuable knowledge about advisor behavior and noticed the following facts from the advisors contacting her:

  •     95% of advisors do not have a Business plan
  •     92% of advisors do not have a Marketing Plan
  •     87% of advisors have no formal referral program
  •     68% of advisors use financial industry template websites
  •     89% of advisors have never branded their firms
  •     95% of advisors lack a client-focused, benefit-driven tagline - see Taglines That Sizzle pdf attached

"Advisors need education on how to plan and market their firms. Sadly, most advisors have never learned how to be the entrepreneur in their business which means they have not developed a vision for where they want to be in the future. Once they realize what they've been missing out on all these years by not having a systematic way to prospect and grow their practice, they become determined to put procedures and tactics into place," says Muusers.

In the second edition of the program, Muusers added various tools and tips to help advisors write a plan that works for them. Because few advisors know how to put a plan together, she added a six day E-Course designed to prod the user to action. Each day of the course focuses on a different aspect of the plan template.

Because most advisors have never seen a finished plan, Muusers added four sample plans, each featuring a different advisor business model. "When you can see examples of how others have written their plans, you are more likely to bring those lessons into your own successful plan," says Muusers.

"The proof is in the pudding when it comes to taking meaningful action, so I added a Marketing Calendar to help advisors implement their marketing plans," says Muusers.
