The new website addresses will bring much needed supply to today's overcrowded domain name marketplace.

Later this year hundreds of new domain extensions will be introduced that can be used as viable website name addresses on the world wide web through the ICANN New gTLD Program.

Until now, generic web address endings have been limited to scant few including 'com', 'net', 'org' and some others. In all, website owners had only 22 top level domains to choose from. This is set to change as ICANN, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers will begin approving new top level domains in the coming months.

The new website addresses will bring much needed supply to today's overcrowded domain name marketplace. New website owners today are frequently faced with poor selection and prohibitive aftermarket pricing for domain names on which to develop websites. Additionally, New web address endings will allow for more intuitive, functional names that will be powerful marketing and branding tools. There will be suffixes in many categories: Cities (.nyc, .london, .paris) , Arts (.art, .film, .design) , Education (.college), Food (.food, .cafe, .beer), Business (.inc, .llc), Interests (.book, .cars, .cooking), novelty(.ninja, .lol, .buzz) and hundreds more. Most will be available for wide registration and use by individuals, organizations, startups and more. See the [New Dots® List of new domain extensions.

The New Dots® pre-registration watchlist service allows users to submit their desired extensions via an easy to use watchlist system. When the new domains begin their launch sequences, watchlist subscribers will be notified of prices, dates, and any registration requirements for each new extension.

The new domain extensions set to release later this year and into 2014 represent a paradigm shift in internet naming, branding and marketing.

NewDots.net intends to lead the exploration of this New Dot World.
