According to the recent BBC News report dated 12 June 2013: Conwy transport charity over-claimed £50k, an investigation has been carried out by Conwy council and Community Transport Association into charity the Conwy Community Transport (CCT). The investigation into the overpayments discovered that there were ‘serious misgivings’ about the way the charity was run both financially and governance related.
John Barton, chair of CCT, said that the over-claim was a mistake.
"It happened because of a combination of things, but it seems it was done in good faith," he said. "Nobody at CCT made personal gain from what went wrong.
