After reflecting carefully on a very successful year, we can state with confidence that this sponsorship has achieved a significant return on a not insubstantial investment.

Andrews Sykes Group has today announced that it will be the official shirt sponsor for Charlton Athletic Football Club (also known as the ‘Addicks’) for the forthcoming 2013/2014 season. This is the second year that the specialist climate control hire company has committed to sponsoring the strip of its neighbouring Championship club.

The previous season saw the Andrews Air Conditioning brand adorn Charlton’s home strip and the Andrews Heat for Hire brand on the away kit: details about which specific divisions will sponsor this year’s kit are due to be announced later this month.

Paul Wood, Managing Director said: “In what are challenging times for any company, making this kind of commitment must only be for sound business reasons. After reflecting carefully on a very successful year, we can state with confidence that this sponsorship has achieved a significant return on a not insubstantial investment. As a result, the decision to be shirt sponsors for the new season is very much in line with our plans for the next phase of our development.”

Andrews Sykes has a long standing presence in, and commitment to South East London and Charlton especially, the home of many of its employees and where it has its largest operational hub. Indeed many of its staff are supporters or have other associations with the club.

Ben Kensell, Chief Commercial Officer at Charlton Athletic FC commented: “Core to our partnership with Andrews Sykes are our shared values and active community participation. We are committed to achieving success on and off the pitch but commercial success must sustain the club and not compromise on our reputation as a family oriented organisation. Andrews Sykes fits that bill exactly - a traditional and straightforward company with a strong legacy and reputation.”

Paul Wood concluded: “We intend to make full use of the superb facilities at The Valley and will continue to actively engage with all CAFC events, both relating to football and the increasingly important other commercial activities that are now an essential aspect for clubs like Charlton.

“Whilst we remain committed to our South East homeland, we are a national brand and so look forward to the nationwide profile and prestige inherent in being associated with successful Championship football.”
