With the EDI enhancement, InOrder now supports many EDI transactions, including the sending and receiving of invoices, inventory prices, inventory status and quantity, purchase order acknowledgements, shipping notices (and related invoices).

Morse Data Corporation, developers of InOrder Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, has announced that a new Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) enhancement for InOrder users is now available. The EDI enhancement allows quick and accurate communications to and from EDI service vendors or translation software, enabling seamless EDI communication between businesses running InOrder and their trading partners.

With the EDI enhancement, InOrder now supports many EDI transactions, including the sending and receiving of invoices, inventory prices, inventory status and quantity, purchase order acknowledgements, shipping notices (and related invoices), and lists of inventory items. The new enhancement can also import customer orders and transmit vendor purchase orders. For maximum flexibility, the EDI enhancement works with a number of EDI service providers, including SPS Commerce, UnitechEDI, Embassy Software, ACT Data Services, 123 EDI and eZCom Software.

“With the new EDI enhancement, InOrder users now have an alternative to time-consuming and error-prone paper or other electronic data exchange processes. The EDI enhancement allows users to get orders into their system quickly and easily – and all within the InOrder interface,” says Tony Marchese, VP for Morse Data.

Once they’ve implemented the new EDI enhancement, InOrder users can view each EDI purchase order or transaction from within the EDI Control Panel. They can also reset or exclude purchase orders from a group and view/resolve/re-process errors. In addition, InOrder users can combine the new EDI enhancement with the InOrder Batch Builder enhancement, allowing multi-channel merchants, Internet retailers and fulfillment solutions providers to schedule processes and receive or prepare data for transmission on their own schedule.
