Digital Sports Group today announced that The PFA Facebook fan page of Phil Jones has broken the 30% daily growth barrier making it the fastest growing Phil Jones page on Facebook. The Facebook page has become a thriving hub for the Manchester United defender since its launch and now boasts a vibrant and rapidly growing community of fans. The Facebook page along with Phil Jones player profile on football.co.uk provide the only online location of the official PFA biography, lifetime stats, news and high resolution gallery.
A promising and versatile defensive player currently with Manchester United
Signed from Blackburn Rovers in the summer of 2011, Phil featured at right-back, centre-back and in midfield for the Reds in his first season at Old Trafford; his intelligence, drive and physical attributes allowing him to shine in all three positions and to show why he is one of the highest-rated prospects to emerge in English football for many years.
Phil came through the academy at Blackburn and made his debut for the Ewood Park outfit at the age of 17, with some prodigious displays in the ensuing two years causing a number of top clubs to sit up and take notice. International recognition has been quickly forthcoming as well, with October 2011 marking his promotion from the U21 setup to the full England side.
Phil has since picked up further caps and was a member of the Three Lions’ squad at Euro 2012.
Head of Operations at DSG, Matthew Tait had this to say “Phil Jones really has no shortage of fans after his performances for Manchester United this season and we can see that by the success of his PFA Facebook page.”
