K’NEX Brands, the only US construction toy company focused on Building Worlds Kids Love ®, is excited to announce their first two appointments to its fully operational UK sales & marketing division which will open its doors January 1, 2014.
The UK expansion is a natural step for K’NEX as brand awareness of the popular construction toy continues to grow in the region. Heading up K’NEX UK is Paul Fogarty, formerly of Mattel, Radica and TOMY Europe. Fogarty will be joined by Tim Ives, formerly of TOMY Europe and MGA, who will head up the K’NEX UK sales division. Ives and Fogarty are the beginning of a new team that has a combined wealth of toy industry experience and a passion for the K’NEX brand. Opening K’NEX UK emphasizes the company’s long-term commitment to its existing and new customers. TOMY Europe, the current distributor of K’NEX in the UK, will continue to offer excellent service through the end of 2013.

Founded in Hatfield, PA in 1992, K’NEX began shipping product to UK retailers in 1994. 2014 will mark the 20th anniversary of K’NEX in the region and fans will be pleased to know that it will be celebrated with various contests and promotions that will be officially announced at London Toy Fair in January of 2014.
More details of the marketing initiatives to support the re-launch will be unveiled during spring previews in July and throughout the rest of 2013.
