Night and Day Productions, based in Miami has just released a new video by Canadian Pop Singer Amanda Paterson. Amanda Paterson’s new song ‘Starbucks Junkie’ was arranged by Owen Gurry, a Grammy nominated producer based in the UK. Tracks were recorded at Night and Day Productions, Studio 1, and mastered at Abbey Road Studios in London.
“When my producer told me I had to pour coffee into the gas tank of a gorgeous blue Ferrari, I nearly choked,” says Amanda, “but it’s what makes this video so memorable, I love the video, and I love that scene!”
The single (Starbucks Junkie) and EP are available on iTunes, Amazon MP3, XBox Music, Spotify, and many other digital outlets world wide. A 30 second ring tone is also available on the iTunes store.
“The song is hip and cool, and if you haven’t been to a Starbucks you live on the moon,” says Owen Gurry, a UK based arranger who worked on the project together with the staff at Night and Day Productions. “This is pop music that’s fresh and relevant, and Amanda is a true talent,” adds Owen Gurry.
Filming for the Starbucks Junkie video took place in several Miami locations and was edited by Kensly Fresh using Final Cut Pro X. Music tracks were recorded in Miami using Logic Pro 9.
“I can’t wait to air this video” says Bruce Knight of Miami Music Television, “there’s been a lot of buzz about Amanda, and the famous Ferrari that runs on Starbucks coffee.” His show, which airs in the US and 25 other international markets, has over 100 million subscribers. “Amanda is a featured guest on my show, the response has been overwhelming.”
“This song (Starbucks Junkie) was a true international collaboration” says Sal Albert, producer and creative director at Night and Day Productions, “basic tracks were recorded in Miami, and top musicians from the UK, and the US gave us some brilliant input.”
Johnny Mars, who’s produced such stars as Pittbull, Jake Miller, and Jason Derulo was part of the team that worked on Amanda's EP. “Amanda is a great talent, she dares to be original where many other artists just stick to old formulas,” says Johnny.
“I thought I was addicted to Starbucks, but now I’m addicted to Ferraris!” adds Amanda with a smile. “It was a lot of fun to make this video, I hope it goes viral!"
