Vegetables People Hate According to

As of June 2013, these are the vegetables that over 1,500 people have voted as the worst.

People of all ages dislike brussel sprouts

Says Elise, “I really enjoy things like celery and cabbage, but radish makes my taste buds cry.”

Whether people are 4 or 40, some vegetables are just gross. Some may still try to like them. Some people tell themselves, “I’m older now. My taste buds have changed. I’ll finally be able to eat beets.” Then they spend the next two minutes spitting them into the trashcan. But hey, at least they tried!, a crowdsourcing website that relies on “the wisdom of crowds,” has collected the aggregated opinion of over 1,500 voters on the list of “Vegetables I Won’t Eat.” Voters are able to vote up the veggies they hate the most, and vote down the ones that aren’t that bad. If you think that you could easily predict all of the vegetables on the list, you may be wrong. The top 10 varies from what you would expect (Brussels Sprouts) and includes some passionately-hated veggies that you don’t commonly see in many households (Chard). The Top 10 Vegetables I Won’t Eat are:

1.     Radish
2.     Turnip
3.     Beet
4.     Brussels Sprouts
5.     Lima Bean
6.     Eggplant
7.     Olive
8.     Celery
9.     Green Bean
10. Chard

Vegetarian Elise Hennigan’s diet consists heavily of vegetables, but even she avoids some items from this list. Says Elise, “I really enjoy things like celery and cabbage, but radish makes my taste buds cry.”
