Rothbury Software today announced that it has re-named as Ixxus in order to strengthen the group’s messaging to global clients and partners. The move also sees the expansion of the Ixxus website to a new, global platform which showcases the joint offering of the two companies.
The change follows a strategic review by the Ixxus board, which includes Malcolm Teasdale, founder of Rothbury and CEO of the North American operation. The review concluded that with a growing number of global clients and increasing demand for Ixxus’ publishing and media expertise and services in the USA, it made sense to unify the branding and create one global website. The integration will also allow greater leverage of group sales and marketing resources and a number of further marketing initiatives are in the pipeline over the course of this year and next.
The new and improved Ixxus website went live in May 2013, giving both existing and potential clients quick and easy access to information on the company’s range of services. The new-look website has been designed by the Ixxus in-house team to be more user-intuitive, articulate and impactful, with refreshed imagery and copy reflecting the company’s recent evolution. The website has a deep focus around flexible digital content solutions for the Publishing and Media industry, showcasing Ixxus’ vast experience and knowledge of this sector. The company recently held its second annual Future of Publishing conference with events in both London and New York, demonstrating the benefits which Ixxus’ end-to-end content expertise can provide.
“Our long-term goal was always to be one unified company, but between us we decided that this should be accelerated because of the growing focus of our sales and marketing efforts in the US on publishing and media,” said Steve Odart, co-founder of Ixxus, “We are really happy with the way the merger has gone. The complete Rothbury team has been retained and the company has continued to grow under Malcolm’s leadership; it will more than double in headcount this year and we believe we can accelerate that with some of the sales and marketing initiatives we are planning.”
Malcolm Teasdale added, “As Steve and I have visited customers and prospects in the US, the interest in Ixxus’ publishing and media solutions has been very apparent to me, confirming the original logic of the merger. This re-branding eliminates sales and marketing confusion and will help closer collaboration across the group.”
