Ballroom dance's physical and artistic benefits changed Ms. Thompson's life.
St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) June 24, 2013
Dance Pizazz, the St. Louis area funnest, friendliest dance studio, is proud of its instructors and wants to share their personal and ballroom dance stories. The first interview in our ‘Spotlight Series: Meet the Instructor’ features Nikki Thompson. Ms. Thompson is the co-owner of Dance Pizazz (http://www.dance-pizazz.com) and has over seven years of professional dancing experience. A native Missourian, Ms. Thompson’s dance story is not unlike many of Dance Pizazz’s students: she was motivated to pursue ballroom dancing after watching an episode of Dancing with the Stars! Several years ago, Ms. Thompson craved an added artistic outlet to complement a demanding, yet rewarding job at a successful advertising firm. Moved by the dance performances she watched on TV, Ms. Thompson started taking ballroom dance lessons. She discovered the many physical and artistic benefits dance brought to her life, giving her with a new found passion. The competitive bug eventually bit and Ms. Thompson took on the professional ballroom dance circuit. Her distinguished professional dancing career further pushed her to pursue dancing as a full-time endeavor, a move she says has changed her life for the better “by, at least, tenfold.”
Ms. Thompson, as all Dance Pizazz instructors, is proud of her accomplishments on and off the dance floor. She wants anyone who is curious about dancing to know they don’t have to make as drastic a leap into the dancing world as she did, but they shouldn’t be afraid to try new and exciting things. She believes that ballroom dance should be taken on as a fun challenge and positive change is sure to follow.
