Greenberg Traurig is a Finalist for ACG New York Champion’s Awards for ESOP Transaction on behalf of Martin Resource Management Corp.

International law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP is among the finalists at the 4th annual ACG New York Champion’s Awards for several deals, including its representation of Martin Resource Management Corporation (MRMC) in its implementation of a $230 million Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) in 2012. The awards gala on June 20th recognizes companies, professional service firms, individual dealmakers and transactions in the mergers & acquisitions industry in the New York area.

For its representation of MRMC, Greenberg Traurig is listed as a finalist in the following categories: M&A Deal of the Year (between $200mm and $500 mm); Corporate/Strategic Acquisition of the Year (up to $250mm); Industrial Manufacturing/Distribution Sector Deal of the Year; Financial Services Sector Deal of the Year; Energy Sector Deal of the Year; and Industrial Goods and Basic Resources Sector Deal of the Year. In addition to Greenberg Traurig, the other finalists for the MRMC deal are: CSG Partners, Katten Muchin Rosenmann LLP, Martin Resource Management Corporation, Stout Risius Ross, and Wilmington Trust. George W. Thacker III, Managing Director of CSG Partners, is a finalist for Dealmaker of the Year.
