It’s a party for all breeds in Canton, MA when the first ever Pooch-A-Palooza Festival takes over Prowse Farm on June 22-23, 2013. More than 10,000 attendees and many of their dogs will head to Prowse Farm at the base of the Blue Hills for this two-day outdoor family-friendly festival.
A portion of the proceeds from the festival will benefit Canine Companions for Independence (CCI), a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities, other than blindness, by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships. CCI is the largest non-profit provider of assistance dogs and is recognized worldwide for the excellence of its dogs and the quality and longevity of the matches it makes between dogs and people, leading to a life full of increased independence and loving companionship.
“Canine Companions for Independence makes a huge difference for individuals with disabilities. They work extremely hard to create partnerships between dogs and individuals with disabilities, relationships that yields incredible bonds and enhances independence,” said Patty Sins, owner of On the Avenue Marketing Group, producer of the festival. “Their work is invaluable and they will be an integral part of this year’s festival.”
Canine Companions for Independence will be onsite at the Pooch-A-Palooza festival, answering questions about the organization and offering demonstrations with their service dogs.

Pooches will be a central theme throughout the weekend. The festival will feature performances from The Marvelous Mutts, a thrilling dog sport entertainment show that showcases some of the world's finest canine athletes. In addition to music and dog performances, Pooch-A-Palooza offers a host of activities designed to appeal to people of all ages. Features of this first-time festival will include, Pooch Pavilion, Marketplace, Kids’ Activity Zone, and Food Alley.
Advance tickets for Pooch-A-Palooza are on sale now. Ticket prices are $15 for adults, $8 for children and $12 for seniors. Dogs are admitted free of charge but must be leashed. Ticket can be purchased at http://www.poochtickets.com
