Silverchair Information Systems (Silverchair) announced today that it will partner with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) to develop and host the ASHA Digital Publishing Portal on Silverchair’s SCM6 platform.
The ASHA Digital Publishing Portal will include ASHA’s four journals, American Journal of Audiology, Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research, American Journal of Speech-Language Pathology, and Language, Speech, and Hearing Services in Schools. Additionally, the Portal with feature ASHA’s news magazine, the ASHA Leader and ASHA’s Perspectives series of subspecialty publications.
“We chose to develop the ASHA Digital Publishing Portal on Silverchair’s SCM6 platform because of its ability to integrate our diverse content types—the journals, ASHA’s Perspectives, and our news magazine—on one platform,” said Gary Dunham, ASHA’s Director of Publications. “Even more important, however, is the foundation and semantic framework that Silverchair provides for future development of resources and tools for our members and stakeholders.”
SCM6 is the latest release of Silverchair’s natively semantic product development and hosting platform. SCM6 supports scientific, technical, and medical (STM) and scholarly publishers, societies, and other organizations to deliver the full array of content formats, functionality, and personalized user experience required by today’s rapidly changing information marketplace.

ASHA’s publications have a global impact that is advancing both clinical practice and applied research,” said Thane Kerner, Silverchair CEO. “ASHA’s forward-thinking, integrated approach to publishing provides an ideal partner for Silverchair.
