Quirk Marketing Research Media has added user commenting to all online listings in its industry-leading directories of marketing research products and services found at Quirks.com.

The new function will allow the research and insights professionals who visit Quirks.com to share recommendations on research vendors across hundreds of product, service and facility categories. This includes firms specializing in everything from advertising research to focus group facilities and marketing research software platforms.

Traffic to the Quirks.com marketing research provider directories has increased 114% in the past five years and the site draws over 1 million visitors each year.

In an informal way, research supplier recommendations are already happening on social media and through word-of mouth. Quirk’s is simply bringing the feedback into the open and tying it into a singular destination (its directories) to connect members of the research community.

The recommendation module is intuitive and easy to use and allows users to sign in using their existing accounts such as Facebook or Twitter.

To ensure authenticity, all posts will be reviewed and no anonymous posts will be allowed. Research companies will have the ability to respond to any post – so users will be urged to keep their comments constructive and civil.
