Quirk Marketing Research Media has added user commenting to all online listings in its industry-leading directories of marketing research products and services found at Quirks.com.
The new function will allow the research and insights professionals who visit Quirks.com to share recommendations on research vendors across hundreds of product, service and facility categories. This includes firms specializing in everything from advertising research to focus group facilities and marketing research software platforms.
Traffic to the Quirks.com marketing research provider directories has increased 114% in the past five years and the site draws over 1 million visitors each year.
In an informal way, research supplier recommendations are already happening on social media and through word-of mouth. Quirk’s is simply bringing the feedback into the open and tying it into a singular destination (its directories) to connect members of the research community.
The recommendation module is intuitive and easy to use and allows users to sign in using their existing accounts such as Facebook or Twitter.
To ensure authenticity, all posts will be reviewed and no anonymous posts will be allowed. Research companies will have the ability to respond to any post – so users will be urged to keep their comments constructive and civil.
The goal is not to facilitate the public berating of a research company for less-than-desirable service. Rather, the aim is to help improve the overall effectiveness of research products and services by providing a vehicle for rewarding valued vendors, improving the ones that came up short and gaining insight into companies users may be considering for future projects.
Now in its 27th year, Quirk’s Marketing Research Media offers a host of free resources to those who conduct, coordinate, purchase or interpret qualitative and quantitative marketing research. Each monthly issue of Quirk's Marketing Research Review magazine includes case studies of successful research projects, technique discussions, marketing research best practices, information on new products and services and the most complete and up-to-date directories of marketing research product and service providers.
The Quirk's Website (http://www.quirks.com) compiles and archives all of these resources and adds blogs, e-newsletters, Webinars, white papers and more to give marketing research and insights professionals the tools they need to maximize their research budgets and uncover insights that drive business decisions.
